Santa Barbara
Matt and I left Oklahoma on a Monday morning and arrived back in Santa Barbara on Tuesday afternoon.
Nancy had asked me to stop in Tennessee and buy some fireworks, because Tennessee has the least stringent fireworks laws and you
can buy ANYTHING. So I stopped at some store near the Georgia border and bought
a couple of bottle rockets. Ian unloaded them from my car and was very excited about blowing things up.
Ian showed me his latest favorite PlayStation game, GRAND THEFT AUTO 3, in which you steal police cars and run over old ladies in the streets for points,
and shoot rival gang lords and the only way to improve your Health rating is to have sex with a prostitute in the back of a car, and then kill the
prostitute to get your money back. Sheesh.
Luke played a table-top game with a friend.
Family friend Matt Trudgeon came over after finishing his shift as a security screener at the Santa Barbara airport. He says the
worst part of the job is inspecting peoples' smelly shoes.
I visited my photographer friend Henry. He needs this much equipment for each shot in his architectural photography business. We
went out to dinner and rode in his new BMW two-seater convertible.
Wednesday I had lunch with some of the guys from the Barbaria BBS: Swagman,
Norbus, Salamander, and NickG.
And then I drove home.
