Matt and Nancy and I shared a house near Santa Barbara High School. Friends and family visited.

My brother Scott was the art director at Santa Barbara Magazine. He was the creative graphics force behind the magazine.

Henry's basement studio

Jurgen Hilmer was the associate photographer at the magazine, after working on interplanetary space probes for NASA. Today he is still a photographer for Santa Barbara Magazine.

Henry burst into my office and took this picture of me with a mustache and a hangover.

A few days after I got a black eye in a softball game, I put on Jurgen's hat and he took this picture of me.
