Paul Baker, Rosie Slattery.  Paul was shell-shocked--he was a senior manager/writer at Wal-Mart.com but quit last summer to take a marketing job at Wells Fargo, and at 5pm today as he was leaving work the boss told him they were letting him go, right now, clean out your desk. He was all agonizing about what personal flaws led to his dismissal, but I told him Wells Fargo is in big trouble because of all their defaulting sub-prime      
mortgages; they laid off 3,000 in Southern California last week.
