My own office space.
I rented a corner of what had been Scott's art studio in the same building with California Press, publishers of Santa Barbara Magazine. We rarely were able to publish three times a year. The magazine stopped paying me and I had to take them to small claims court. I found clients for my copywriting skills and shared the office with art directors Mark Oliver and John Alexander with my typewriter on a drawing table.
