BBDO Days
I'd been assigned to write a "House ad," a TV commercial showing what a good company BBDO was in the Detroit business community. Then Lee Iacocca fired us, and so I wrote this. (It didn't air.)

I had plenty of offers of copywriting jobs at other Detroit ad agencies on car accounts, but I was sick of Detroit and wanted to get back to California. At the end of June I packed my typewriter and clothes into my car and drove back to Santa Barbara.
