Australia
The tracks bend west and we pass Australia: a flat forested grove filled with tree ferns and
flowering eucalyptus. It'll be a fine place to see koalas (which eat eucalyptus leaves). You'll see
wallabies and maybe some kangaroos or emus (swift-running birds like ostriches but smaller).
A wire-netting flight cage encasing thousands of cubic feet will
contain our breeding colony of rainbow lorikeets from the Loyalty Islands.
(We'd use nylon, but lorikeets will eat right through it.) Ours is possibly the only breeding colony of this rare subspecies in captivity.
