The Core Zoo
Many of the exhibits and displays in the core zoo need fine tuning or remodeling to turn them into better habitats. The otter and badger displays need modification so that the animals can be seen from more than one side.
The lemur enclosures need extensive rebuilding if our planned breeding campaign is to be successful. We're working on the new island for squirrel monkeys. We want to start on pole structures for our small primates. And we want to build a New World primate section: golden lion marmosets and wooly spider monkeys are two of the many species endangered by the expansion of banana, coffee, and sugarcane plantations in South America.
